Our story

Mercator started life in 2006 as an IT recruitment firm, specialising in the contract market space. We started to provide larger teams to our clients and in 2014 we began our journey with various public sector bodies – delivering end-to-end projects, with a focus on digital transformation.

Since 2018 we have worked with clients on a consultative basis and have left our recruitment roots behind – although the skills which allowed our early development then, enable us to scale our technical teams rapidly today. We’re now an award-winning digital consultancy with over 400 people in offices across the UK, US, Singapore, and Paris. Together, we deliver digital solutions to millions of customers worldwide.

Our people understand they are our most crucial asset, and this is evident in their annual survey responses, which contributed to our incredible 4th place ranking on the Best Places to Work UK™ list. We have also been accredited with being a Best Place to Work in Tech as well as a Best Place to Work for Wellbeing.

As we continue to expand, it’s hugely important to us that we retain our culture. That’s why we have an annual survey – for continuous feedback; an open-door policy – for constant communication; social events throughout the year – to bring out our fun side; and a great benefits package – to show how much we value every team member.
