The end of September was thrilling – we had two awards ceremonies to attend on the same night. Some oof our colleagues attended the @SheCanCode Power Up Awards where our Academy picked up the award for ‘Best Internship Programme’, and our Dorothea Toeller was recognized with a ‘One To Watch’ award. On the same night, Women In Tech held their awards ceremony, where our Academy has been shortlisted in the ‘Leading Training Provider or Academy’ category.
The Mercator Academy has a key role in developing emerging technology talent and providing opportunities for future upskilling and progression. Winning Best Internship Programme at the SheCanCode Power Up Awards is a fantastic achievement and recognition of the hard work and commitment that goes into the Academy.
Alongside the win, being shortlisted for the Women In Tech Awards was another fantastic milestone for the Academy in itself. Although we didn’t win, the nomination reflects our continued dedication to supporting the development of future technology talent, which has resulted in roughly 20% of Mercator Digital’s employees having come through the Academy.
With both events taking place on the same evening, members of Mercator Digital attended each event to represent the business and celebrate these achievements with colleagues and others across the industry.
